The top of the itinerary and of the Sierra de Neila is the vertex of Alto de la Campiña (2,050 m), also called Mojón del Muelle, the best place to appreciate the landscape of circuses, moraines, lagoons and glacial steps modeled by Quaternary ice a thousand years ago. The path continues along the edge of the large glacial niche where the floating peat bogs of the Larga and Negra lagoons are located, the main representative of the environmental values of the natural park. The path surrounds the cirque, passes through the Pico de la Laguna (2,004 m) and descends the lateral moraine following the milestones of the Sendero de las Lagunas towards the Laguna de la Cascada along the Tejos path.
