This stop on the Ecopista is important because it also marks the start of a beautiful walking trail 👣👣 PR18 - VildeMoinhos and its stories (VIS)🇵🇹. In fact, the trail begins a little earlier, in the large parking lot near the intersection between Dão Ecopista and Quinta Belém. It begins by crossing the public gardens before entering the Ecopista, a common pedestrian and cycling path. Follow this eco-trail for 1,400 meters until turning left at Santarinho. From the wooden viewpoint, the view is breathtaking: down below, the Varosa River tears through the rock, passing under the enigmatic Devil's Bridge, surrounded by terraces that climb the slopes. Here, the walkways are your allies, as they soften a trail that would otherwise be a pure technical challenge, full of loose rocks and tight bends. A treat for those who enjoy running with excitement and scenery in between.

At the top of the village of Jueus, in the Serra do Caramulo, the Capela do Menino Jesus is home to one of the most enchanting viewpoints in the region. From here, you can gaze out over the hills and valleys, and it is easy to follow the trails that stretch across the landscape. The paths are well-maintained and are ideal for peaceful walks, but those who enjoy running will find a true paradise here: gentle trails, just the right amount of challenging, and nature that inspires every step.

The trails that wind through Caramulo are an irresistible invitation for those who enjoy running in the middle of nature. They are dirt tracks, not very technical, with just the right level of challenge to keep your legs alive and your heart racing. This one is an excellent example and is part of the Grande Rota do Caramulo, a great adventure that is best enjoyed on foot.
