Originally called the "Villa Fournau" then later "Le Château de Soum", the building was built by the Lourdes architect Jean-Marie Lacrampe for the Fournau Family (former Lourdes hotel family) in the years 1900-1901 . It was then bought by Mrs. Suberville who in turn resold it to the City of Lourdes during the first years following the 2nd World War to set up a Vocational Training Center there. From 1974 to 2009, the District Court sat there. Today, the building houses associations with a musical, cultural and artistic vocation.
