Impressive structure of the Rhine-Marne Canal.

This impressive canal bridge crosses the Saar River between the villages of Hesse and Xouaxange, in Moselle. Built of metal, it is a testament to 19th-century civil engineering and is part of the region's river heritage. It is a peaceful place, steeped in history, offering magnificent views of the valley and surrounding landscapes. 🚶‍♂️ Accessible on foot or by bike via the towpath, it makes an ideal stopover during a stroll along the canal. Boats are sometimes encountered along the bridge, adding a lively and authentic touch to the place. 📸 An original photo spot, perfect for lovers of industrial heritage, hiking, and relaxing by the water.

A smaller obstacle is this footbridge on the EV5. You either take the luggage off the bike or you push the bike and luggage together over to the other side.

Quite a beautiful viewpoint, and an interesting arcaded rock formation to observe. ⚠️ On the other hand, when I passed there, the ♦️/+ yellow path (from the crossroads after the Ancienne Maison Forestière du Gros Chêne to the Storindal Meadow) was punctuated with chains and ''Private Property ⛔'' signs. '. There are no/no more markers/signs indicating the presence of the rock, and it was difficult to then reach Saint Quirin (sections made inaccessible).
