Despite the road's excellent construction, there's really little traffic. This isn't surprising, given that the tourist flow is concentrated on the coast, and this road only connects small mountain villages.

From the dam, you have a magnificent view of the mountains to the north. The reservoir was created to provide drinking water, so swimming is prohibited here.

The bullet holes are gone. They simply removed the entire sign. The pass is beautiful to drive on from both sides. A well-maintained road with little traffic.

A superb pass, not a single car, a superb view, only red granite rocks above Propriano; it's sublime. I recommend going up the D557, whose road is quite damaged, and going down the D19, which is in perfect condition. The view of Propriano becomes increasingly open and unobstructed as you descend the D19.

Beautiful road, very solid on the way up. Rewarded by the lake and the view. Be careful, same for going up to Zonza.

Along the route from Zonza towards Porto Vecchio you pass this reservoir. It is surrounded by rocky hills and mountains and can be used as a starting point for countless beautiful hikes.
