Beautiful reservoir with many nature reserves and a huge number of birds

Located on the banks of the Marne and at the entrance to the city center of Saint-Dizier, the Jard park is ideal for a family outing. It offers playgrounds, a large skatepark and green spaces for taking a break, picnicking or playing.

Lake Der is connected to the Marne and Blaise rivers by 20 kilometres of restitution and supply canals. These linear infrastructures contrast with the rugged shapes of the banks of the body of water.

Beautiful little footbridge to cross the canal at its entrance into the Der reservoir. To the north you have a panoramic view of the canal as far as the eye can see, and to the south you can see the dam.

The lake was created in 1974 to regulate the water levels of the Marne River and prevent flooding of the Seine. The landscapes change throughout the year, and each season shines in its own way.
