I ended up going for a walk after all, not just to watch the Olympics, but to do an Olympic walk for myself. It was dry at first, but the clouds hinted at the chance of rain.



So my hiking boots 🥾 survived their baptism of fire unscathed. Now back to watching the Winter Olympics 😀😆🙋‍♂️.

The paths were partly slippery and muddy. It wasn't enjoyable; we'd rather come back in the summer.

Today, with the beautiful sunshine 🌞, I was able to try out my new hiking boots 🥾. I tried on three different ones in the store, and the last pair felt fantastic. If even mammoths 🦣 managed during the Ice Age, I decided on Mammut 🦣. They completely won me over on the test hike. I hope I can hike

We weren't going to let anything spoil our Sunday hike. A hike in the fog has its own charm; you can't see the distant destination. The paths were very wet, and my shoes didn't keep the moisture out.

Today was a day for letting loose. We laced up our hiking boots and set off from Lindenau. Our first stop was the Rechenhaus, then we continued along the Floßgraben canal and over the Gleesberg hill to Schneeberg for some delicious ice cream. Then it was just a short walk back to Lindenau.

Yesterday was the day again, the lights went out. Even though it was a weekday, the Rappe market was packed. Long lines formed at the food and mulled wine stalls. But we had already enjoyed a good meal beforehand.



It was another lovely day in Zwönitz.

Today's driver suggested Sachsengrund as our destination, which I was very happy about because I've often cycled past it. But I'd never experienced it on foot in that magnificent winter landscape.



There were a lot of cross-country skiers up on the ridge trail, so we didn't want to trudge along the track

After a brief inquiry, we decided on a winter tour near Lindenau.

As long as there's snow, you should get outside and soak up some beautiful winter scenery. I really wanted to go there, and it was definitely worth it 👍.

This time I left the car at home. I walked to the hairdresser, taking a longer route. The time management worked out perfectly.
