Day 1 of the "Ronde van Nederland"
The tour around the Netherlands is about 1500km long. In the next few days, I'll tackle the first 500km. The plan is to go to Middelburg, possibly two more days, and then aim for Delft.

Auf einer alten Bahntrasse von Wesel nach Haltern, einmal um den Stausee. Dann am Kanal und an der Lippe entlang wieder zurück nach Wesel. Eine schöne Streckenführung mit unendlich vielen Möglichkeiten zur Einkehr. Parken in Büderich auf dem Markt, direkt vor dem Restaurant, das hatte was. Kostenfrei und ohne Zeitbegrenzung.

Die Fahrradstrecke hat nur mit der "Ronde van Nederland" zu tun, weil ich mit der niederländischen Bahn (NS) von Middelburg über Roosendaal nach Nijmegen gefahren bin. Das hat an einem Montag, außerhalb der Schulferien, phantastisch und entspannt funktioniert. Zur Wiederholung empfohlen!

Heute ging es an die Westerschelde. Auf dem Weg lag aber auch Essen (ohne Krupp und ohne Villa Hügel) und die Güter von Herrn von Ribbeck (der mit dem Birnbaum). Die große weite Welt, mit der Hafeneifahrt von Antwerpen, war auch im Portfolio. UND SEEHUNDE AUF EINER SANDBANK! Tolles Wetter, ideales Radfahren!
