A pleasant beach promenade between Charco Azul and the old lime kiln (no guarantee, something else might have been burned there).
Speaking of distilleries, the Aldea Rum Distillery is also a few meters further on, and if I had known about it beforehand, I would have stopped by there too.

Since the long hikes seemed too risky due to closed sections and roads caused by the severe weather a week ago, I opted for this shorter route to Roque de los Muchachos.
Unfortunately, the caldera was shrouded in clouds and refused to reveal its fantastic panorama.
Nevertheless, it was a beautiful hike

Originally planned as a roughly 14km hike, I had to cut it short due to the weather.
The outward journey along the forest road is easy. The return journey via the volcano route is quite challenging in terms of sure-footedness.
Unfortunately, the clouds obscured the view.

The gorge itself is really cool. It's impossible to capture in photos.
Whether you do the loop in one direction or the other, I think it doesn't matter. You can skip the waterfall, though.
