Vom Erlaufsee durch den Wald auf die Gemeindealpe - Abstieg über Halterhütte

Beautiful round trip from the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Höhe. First steps down to the Sandersee. Then along the well-marked path to the suspension bridge and on to the rather inconspicuous Elisabethfelsen. Easy racing bike tour along the cycle path on the Danube and later on the Gabčíkovo reservoir. Cycle path not as crowded as in/from Vienna Ferry crossing Vojka nad Dunajom is free, but only every hour.

The Kraus Cave can only be explored with a guide. A very friendly guide explains the special features of the cave. Duration about 1 hour, about 8 degrees in the cave.
Along the gorge path to the actual gorge, the entrance/exit of which has been slightly offset. Some steep stairs otherwise very easy to walk. Ideal for hot days.
