On Saturday, the Greiz Hiking Club's annual hike took place once again. It's always beautiful, very well marked, and organized. It was a shame this time that the pond in Greiz Park had been drained. This was necessary for renovation work. But that didn't detract from the hike. There was delicious cake at the finish line.

It's always a pleasure to participate in the annual hike in Grünbach. The hike took us through the beautiful Vogtland landscape in glorious sunshine...and with excellent supplies along the route and at the finish.

Today, despite a cold, we completed a truly tough hike. We climbed 440 meters in just under an hour...downhill. 😅 We visited the Valley of the Nuns. A stunning landscape that no photo can capture. There were very few tourists here. We really enjoyed it. We took the bus back to the rental car at the start.

Today we participated in another tour from the Saxon hiking calendar. We've done a similar route here before. The scenery is always beautiful—it's the Vogtland region, after all. There was a refreshment point that we passed twice. At the finish, there was cake, roast pork, and brass band music. It was fun. 😃

Diesmal liefen wir wieder zu diesen hochsommerlichen Temperaturen um die Pöhll. Zum Glück war es am Vormittag noch etwas bewölkt. Die letzten 500 Meter vorm Ziel mussten wir eine Pause einlegen, weil da gerade ein mobiler Eisverkäufer stand. Damit waren die abgewanderten Kalorien gleich wieder drauf. 😅
