Today I fulfilled a dream. I cycled from my new home to Lake Constance. Despite the heat, it was a pleasant bike ride, if you can even say that about an 80km ride.

Today I went cross-country skiing in Tannheim for the first time in a long time. I ran a race there years ago, but otherwise I didn't know the area.



We parked in Schattwald, quickly bought a parking ticket, which later proved to be important, and off we went on the trail. Before that, I should mention

Friday was the first trail run of 2025. The weather wasn't great, but at least it was dry in the afternoon, instead of wet like that morning.

after the wonderful fresh snow on January 2/3, the decision was made to go to the combined Fellhorn-Kanzelwand ski area on January 4.

The journey went smoothly with the usual delay, thanks to the traffic lights between Sonthofen and Oberstdorf, and at 8:10 a.m. we were able to get a parking space

In the fresh snow I was able to fulfill a long-held dream: once through the old town of Isny and its pedestrian zone on cross-country skis. I used my old skis, which were in terrible condition. Scratches were no longer a problem.

today we went cross-country skiing on the Hochhäderich in the Bregenzerwald. The high-altitude trails are a dream for every cross-country skier, but should not be underestimated. The Hörmoos trail on the high plateau requires a lot of strength and experience for the challenging descent.
