This is the official hiking trail 3 and takes an estimated 2-2.5 hours for those with little experience.
The path first goes up through the forest and later along the edge of the forest/meadows past farms and back down again as a circular path.

The start and end point are at the parking lot of the outdoor pool in Simbach am Inn. On the way back, you pass the mini golf course and the climbing tower.
The hike usually takes around 3 hours if you take your time. The route can be completed in 2 hours for experienced hikers with a brisk pace.

I started in the morning(!) at the free parking lot at the top of the castle (3x wheelchair spaces and public toilets). It's not that busy in the morning either.
