Forsbach station, which gave it its name, was built around 1889/90 when the railway connection established in 1868 between Mülheim and Bergisch Gladbach was extended to Forsbach, Untereschbach and Immekeppel (1912 finally to Lindlar). The section from Bensberg to Hoffnungsthal was opened on July 1, 1890.
I still know that with the old station building. In the past a bridle path led here, now the former railway line is a well-developed bike path. There are hardly any horses left.
