The nature conservation association POLLICHIA has been involved here since 1986. "The primary goal was to preserve an old cultural landscape with numerous terraces and walls. Land was therefore gradually acquired, some of which had to be cleared of bushes. Old fruit varieties were planted on some of these areas, while other areas are opened up through mowing or goat grazing held."

A small valley with a Mediterranean flair: Above the (limestone) slopes of the Felsenberg and below in the Bern Valley the vineyards, old stone terraces/walls and sandy field paths.
