The castle of Sasso Corbaro is located on the sides of the left bank of the Ticino river, near Bellinzona. It was built in the late 1400s and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Absolutely very nice hike to the three castles. Man returns in the Middle Ages, beautiful area and everywhere you can picnic.

It only takes a few minutes to walk from one castle to the other. It is best to leave the car at the top of the Sasso and from there take the footpath to the other castles. Save expensive parking fees!

Sasso Corbaro Castle sits elegantly 230m above Bellinzona and offers a breathtaking viewpoint. As you climb the 14m high tower, the view extends north over the city and across the Riviera valley to the Pizzo di Claro, and south over the Magadino plain to the Lake Maggiore basin and Italy.

By far the smallest of the 3 castles of Bellinzona, is significantly higher than the other two. Comparatively a little less worth seeing than the other two castles. Parking available nearby.
