Absolutely beautiful destination, which from the Angertalparkplatz in about 45 minutes well and easy (also with prams) can be reached.

In Central Europe unique smelting place with late medieval gold and silver smelting furnaces. The kiln plant consists of roasting furnace, melting furnace and Treibherd and was from 1490 to approx. 1520 in enterprise. Schmiede, Bergmeisterhaus and Knappenhaus house interesting archaeological finds and give an insight into the barren, everyday life of knaves. A wonderful journey into another time.
After a leisurely hike from the Angertal car park, after about 1 hour you will reach this "early industrial mining center" and learn about the history of silver and gold mining in Gastein and the surrounding area through a unique built and restored complex.
