This town in ruins will be one of many that we will find within the Ruta del Cares. Another settlement that is currently abandoned despite the fact that, from time to time, we can see the occasional cow or goat. It really is in a unique setting, surrounded by the classic stone of Picos in the shape of a canyon.

Special place along the Ruta del Cares. This ruin seems to be permanently inhabited with mountain goats, who seem to be well used to the many hikers who pass by their house.

An abandoned small shepherd's settlement towards the end of the climb to the beginning of the Ruta del Cares - a nice photo opportunity or a first place to rest if you are struggling with the climb. Between the upper house and the lower buildings, the path leads over an old staircase - on the way back downhill you should be careful here, you can easily slip on the smooth limestone.
