The small, idyllic town is located on the shore of Lake Amsoldling. The peaks of the impressive Stockhorn range tower behind Amsoldingen. The striking basilica, which stands out in its appearance from the churches in the area, is well worth seeing. The fact that the tower doesn't seem to fit in with the ensemble is because it was added later.
