In Grado, as the only Adriatic city, all the beaches face south, so the beaches enjoy sun all day long. The three beaches, the main beach (Spiaggia Principale), the beach Costa Azzurra and the beach of Pineta, are connected by a promenade. Visiting the three-kilometer main beach costs entry from May to September. The beach is well maintained; There are several bars and restaurants.

The beaches of Costa Azzurra and Pineta also have sanitary facilities, beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented. Only the sand is coarser than on the main beach.

Grado has been a Blue Flag carrier since 2000. This stands for very high standard of cleanliness of the sea water, the beach and the surrounding nature. The Blue Flag was awarded to all three beaches.
