The Lluís Estasen refuge is also known as the Pedraforca refuge, as it is located right at the foot of the magic mountain. It was inaugurated in 1949 and today, Jordi Gallardo is the guard of the refuge. It has been welcoming hikers and climbers for more than 20 years.

Inaugurated on June 26, 1949, two years after the death of the climber Lluís Estasen, this facility was built in the Jaça dels Prats, a splendid meadow at the foot of the challenging rocky wall of Pedraforca, one of the most emblematic mountains. of the country. In 1977 it underwent a major refurbishment and expansion. The facility currently has a capacity of 35 seats in two rooms located on the first floor of the building, a bucolic stone mountain chalet. Mandatory crossing point if you want to climb Pedraforca or if you cross the Cavalls del Vent, Alta Ruta del Cadí or Tora Blava crossings.
