The 314 meter high rock cone towers over Spitz and offers you a wonderful view. What about the 1,000 buckets? A bucket was previously used as a unit of measurement. In good years the slopes of the mountain are said to have brought in up to a thousand buckets of wine - that's around 56,000 liters. Even today, excellent vines grow on the steep stone terraces.

The 314 m high rock cone is the striking landmark of the historic Spitz market, whose oldest houses completely surround it. The mountain got its peculiar name a long time ago when it is said to have brought in up to a thousand buckets of wine in good years. The conversion of the old size "bucket" results in a quantity of approx. 56,000 liters!
