Today the two tunnels and the big bridge were walkable again. Due to water damage, the first tunnel (from Lohsdorf) is still closed. However, the damage has already been eliminated.

The Schwarzberg Tunnel: From 1897 to 1951 the narrow-gauge railway steamed here from Goßdorf-Kohlmühle via Lohsdorf to Hohnstein.

Great route. It is worth the detour to the Grossdorfer Raubschloss, under which one runs through in the tunnel.

When I walked the track, all parts were walkable (including 1 bridge and 2 tunnels). But there were remnants of a barrier on a tunnel visible. So it could be that the tunnel was closed off and maybe it will be again.

From May 1897 to May 1951, the only narrow-gauge railway in Saxon Switzerland ran from Goßdorf-Kohlmühle to Hohnstein. From 1883, i.e. for 14 years, the city and influential citizens had fought for a railway connection until it was realized with a narrow gauge through the valley of the Schwarzbach.

An association is trying to rebuild the narrow-gauge railway, but due to differences with conservationists, this has now started from Lohsdorf in the direction of Hohenstein. The Saxony State Directorate is currently rejecting the reconstruction of the small railway through the Schwarzbachtal.

One of the two tunnels of the 750mm narrow-gauge railway from Goßdorf-Kohlmühle to Hohnstein that was dismantled in 1951. The two tunnels and parts of the former route are accessible.
