    The path through the gorge is now closed (June 2023). But there is a new path above the gorge, which is well developed (ladders, safety ropes) and offers many panoramic views.

      Passage through the Slåttdalsskrevan is prohibeted due to danger of falling rocks. There is a nice way arround it and you also have a good view on it.

        Just wow. It's not easy, there's no way, but I think that's the most fun thing. And then you go through this narrow gorge with its high, almost vertical stone walls. An indescribable feeling between freedom and confinement;)

                The gorge is not far from the summit of Slåttdalsberget and is therefore relatively high. The sturdy shoes were named, but the tour up also requires a lot of basic fitness. From the south you sometimes need your hands over the boulders ...

                  Put on your hiking boots. There is no path there. You have to walk over the rocks. But the canyon is breathtaking.

                      Once upon a time, the Earth began to move, the huge mountain broke into two parts and lava was ejected just as somebody had hurt Earth. The magma cooled down and became what you can see today: A very steep 'hill' inside this canyon, the Slottdalsskrevan.
