The painter, sculptor and graphic artist Jörg Immendorff, born on June 14th, 1945 in Bleckede, placed his monumental double picture "Teilbau Bleckede" on October 11th, 1979 on this base of the former harbor crane. With his contribution to the 30th anniversary of the existence of the two German states, he wanted to protest against the cementing of the division forever and a gradual process of getting used to it. The magazine stern described the work as a “memorial for here and there”. Weather-related damage later forced the dismantling of the canvas panels.

A former art object of the Bleckede-born artist Jörg Immendorf hides behind the strange title. After nature took its toll, the installation of canvas had to be dismantled. Originally it served as a memorial against the German division, it was set up in 1979 for the thirtieth anniversary of the division.
