A cracking 19km horseshoe taking in all the high points of the mont dore area of Auvergne including Puy De Sancy at 1885m. Plenty of parking at the start point, even for motor homes. Follow the gpx track it’s pretty much smack on. Excellent route.

I loved all the Vallée de Chaudefour! First you park at the parking of the “Maison naturelle de Chaudefour”. Then you go up from the left side by following the yellow pathway. Keep going till the top of Sancy. Once ther you have to go back a little and follow the orange pathway. You will do a 18 km trail with the most amazing views. The rest is not worth it once you have done this.
