At the site of the original castle founded by the Lords of Busik, a castle was built, managed by the Lords of Rosenthal. Among the most famous castle possessions counted Jaroslav Lew von Rosenthal, who worked as a diplomat in the service of his brother-in-law of the Bohemian King Yuri of Podebrady. His son Zdenek even became the highest Prague burgrave. However, he was in debt and ended the famous era of the Lords of Rosenthal by selling this reign. From 1623 to 1948, the castle belonged to the Prague diocese.

The castle is now open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a café and an open-air cinema in the courtyard.
The castle tours are carried out by volunteers. Donations are requested, which will be used for the renovation of the castle.

The roof was renovated in the communist era, which has prevented the further decline of the extensive castle complex. After that, the ownership was not clarified and the renovations were unfortunately not continued.
