For the winter, Grödeln (so-called snow chains for the shoes) are compulsory and crampons are an advantage.

When choosing the route, make sure that you suit your experience and level of fitness. Find out about the weather forecast in advance. The weather can change surprisingly in the mountains. Therefore, always go equipped accordingly (e.g. rain protection).
