An open central square in the town center around which the houses are grouped. This was the urban development concept after the great fire of 1817. The town of Rehau is the only model town in Bavaria.
The museum center is also located at the town hall. It offers a wide range of insights into the town and regional history of Rehau and provides information about Dr. Hans Vogt, a native of the Wurlitz district, the co-inventor and pioneer of the sound film.
