Beautiful hut on the mountain lake of the same name in the middle of the breathtaking landscape at an altitude of around 2,500 meters (8,202 ft). Here you can take a wonderful break, get some refreshment and even spend the night if necessary. More information is available here: refugedelablanche.com.

There are many walks in this area from St Veran to the lake. The simplest uses a shuttle bus that will help you on your way for about 6 km from the edge of the village. Keep in mind that the bus has a 'siesta' between roughly 13:00 and 16:00. Especially on the way back from the lake and the Refuge, it can be a disappointment if the bus doesn't come for a while.
