There are many opportunities to walk on beautiful and in the summer always shady forest trails. Very popular area among others for runners.

The valley of the Steinbach is left-leaning, begins at the height of the Sebastian-Kneipp-Steg and runs south of the Nikolausberg. Along the stream there is a park, which widened slowly in the course of the valley and flows into the Würzburg city forest.

The district also includes the Nikolausberg and the residential area Dallenberg. The area south of the Steinbach was incorporated in 1930 as part of Heidingsfeld. On May 1, 1978, an area of 155 ha in the rear of the valley was changed from Höchberg to the city of Würzburg. This area corresponds to the district Steinbachtal, which is listed in the official municipality directories. In 1955, the parish of St. Bruno was built in Steinbachtal.

Markus has already said everything, just a nice area for a run or a bike tour. Even if the climbs through the loose gravel are sometimes quite difficult to walk. You have to take care a bit.
