    The Königstuhl in the urban area of Heidelberg and in the Rhein-Neckar district in Baden-Württemberg is the highest mountain at 567.8 m in both the Little Odenwald and Bergstrasse. He and the Heiligenberg (439.9 m) are the two local mountains of Heidelberg. Between the two, the Neckar flows from the Odenwald-Neckar Valley and at the same time from the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park into the western Upper Rhine Plain. The mountain is known nationwide above all due to the Heidelberg castle on a lower slope and the Heidelberg mountain railway, which leads from Heidelberg's old town in the Neckar valley to its summit region.
    On the summit you will find an oasis of peace and relaxation and has a fantastic view of Heidelberg and the Neckar valley. In the warm season it is between 5 and 6 degrees cooler than in the city. About 3 km northwest of the mountain peak rises beyond the Neckar in the Odenwald there, the Heiligenberg (439.9 m). 🚴‍♂️

      Great view of Heidelberg far to Mannheim. The way up from Heidelberg is a bit bleak, the climb is more beautiful in my eyes from Gaiberg / Kohlhof.

        Anyone who is traveling in the opposite of the road bike, which should definitely "treat" the Königsstuhl :) Higher it does not go around Heidelberg, the view is terrific, the landscape as well and as a reward there above - if you wants - also Brotzeitmöglichkeiten.
