A nice view of both adjoining valleys. The north side is extremely difficult to walk on. The receding glacier leaves a very slippery surface. It is best to descend on the remains of the snow.

As of September 2025, the Zischgenscharte should no longer be climbed due to rockfall. An ascent from the Westfalenhaus to the Schöntalspitze is possible. To reach the Pforzheimer Hütte, the longer route via Zischgeles should be taken.
It's best to check with the huts for up-to-date information before a tour.
