Village square of national importance, market town, cultural-historical buildings, vintage train to the Stanserhorn, location of renowned restaurants, museums about customs and history, diverse jobs, leisure and sports facilities, surrounded by mountains, open to Lake Lucerne, seat of the Nidwalden government and the cantonal administration, rich cultural offering. Living customs, diverse and active club and village life....
Even with this list, the diversity of Stans is not adequately done justice.

The tranquil town of Stans is located near Lake Lucerne, surrounded by the Stanserhorn, the Buochserhorn and the western foothills of the Bürgenstocks. From here a train leads to the Starnserhorn. Also worth seeing is the church of St. Peter and Paul on the village square.
