The Winsener Luhegärten are located on the grounds of the 3rd Lower Saxony State Garden Show, which took place in 2006. The new parks have created lasting value for Winsen and are used by various clubs for events. The Förderverein Gartenschau Winsen e.V. organizes flower shows several times a year.
The 22-hectare nature and park area is divided into five different parking areas: In the park "gardeners-fantasies" regularly held events such as the "Dahlientag" or the "Tulip Festival" instead. Also located here is the "GartenCafe" and the theme gardens "Chinese herbal medicine pharmacy" and the "monastery garden". The "Luheband" is the flood trough of Luhe. The newly created paths and the Luhepromenade invite you to take a walk and linger.

"Luhis Lagoon" is the playground and sports park for children and teenagers. In the park "Dorothea garden" are rose beds and an ancient tree population.
The park section "Eckermann Park" has created a modern designed space for major events. Mediterranean terraces and cultural landscapes of Winsens twin cities define the picture of this park. The Weinsener Luhegärten are barrier-free.

Through Hansestraße the Eckermannpark is separated into a northern and southern part. The two parts are connected by a barrier-free bridge.
