Magnificent Canal by bike!

You just have to hope not to have too much wind :)

This canal follows the old bed of the Aude that the Romans already traveled by boat to the sea. It was built in the 14th century to supply water to the mills in the town of Narbonne. The commercial success of the Canal du Midi in the 17th century was so important that Vauban and Seignelay proposed connecting the Canal des Deux-Mers to Narbonne. On July 2, 1686, the advice of King Louis desires which will be made by Mr. Riquet, engineer of his majesty.
