Stein Castle is considered the most important cave castle in Germany. The castle complex consists of three parts: the high castle, the cave castle and the lower castle. The Hölenburg can be visited every day at 2:00 p.m., but not on Monday and Tuesday and also not in winter because bats spend the winter there. The meeting point is at the yellow entrance gate. The tour is entertaining and takes about an hour. The horror stories of the old robber baron Heinz von Stein are not neglected. The Hochschloss is always accessible, except for concerts and events.
