The Jäkle grave is a tomb in the forest near the district boundary between the towns of Bergfelden and Heiligenzimmern in the district of Rottweil. The popular hiking destination can be reached on foot from Heiligenzimmern. Another path starts at the hiking car park near Bergfelden. You can also reach the destination from the hiking car park opposite the Schützenhaus Vöhringen on well-developed paths. The most recent written tradition dates from the year when Hans Kimmich (born 1834) wrote down the stories that had been handed down orally. However, it can be considered certain that the herdsman Michael Jäkle died in 1627 and was buried in the forest at the place discussed. The influence of the Thirty Years' War remains undocumented, during which most of the residents of Bergfelden and their pastors fled to the town of Sulz am Neckar. A stone tombstone on the (today in wood) grave has been preserved. Today's wooden grave cross and the inscription in the shrine mention the name "Jäkle" or "Michael Jäkle" with a simple "k". Hans Kimmich also calls him "Jäkle" with a simple "k", but without a first name. The name "Johann Jäckle" can be found in the municipality of Bergfelden, which was adopted from newspaper reports.

At the grave itself there is also a shrine that was built by a citizen of Bergfelden. Inside is a brochure with the stories of Hans Kimmich and his son G. Kimmich, as well as a guest book that visitors can sign. Older guest books are kept in the Bergfelden town hall.
