Charmouth Beach is one of the best places in the UK to hunt for fossils. Thousands of Jurassic fossils have been deposited on the beach as a result of rapid erosion.

This stunning line of beach huts stands out against the golden sand of Charmouth Beach and is a much-photographed spot. The huts belong to the parish council and can be rented for the summer and winter seasons; in the winter, you can even rent them by the day if you like. Brightly blue, they add to the sweet seaside charm of this fossil-rich community.
