In mid-September 2024, the tower was unfortunately closed (again), as was the adjacent restaurant. There is currently no solution for the hiking trail (Calenberg-Harz) that runs through the garden restaurant. We walked behind the tower and then a short distance across the property. Fortunately, we didn't encounter any dogs.

Tower closed. Stamp broken. The path there is very beautiful.

At the moment the tower is officially closed as the restaurant is also closed. With a little luck, the door of the tower will still be open, and from above you have a very impressive view.
