Kaiserslautern Wildlife Park, also known as Betzenberg Wildlife Park, is a popular destination in the region. The park covers 29 hectares and is home to a variety of animals that are found in the wild or were formerly native to the region. These include bison, roe deer, aurochs, wild horses, red deer, mouflons, wild boars and lynx.

A special highlight of the park is that it is free to enter and there is no official entrance. Visitors can enter the park via various entrances and observe the animals in their spacious enclosures. There are also public feeding times, which take place Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The Wildpark am Betzenberg in Kaiserslautern was founded in 1970 with the purpose of enabling the population to observe native species - even those that were formerly native to the wild around Kaiserslautern but are no longer found today. Today, endangered bison and other rare species live in the park. Here you will find in addition to owls, wild boars, fallow deer, lynxes, moufflons, reared reared horses and Heck cattle.
