The Bodenalm (also Bodenalpe) is located at about 1560 m above sea level in the Almajurtal and can be reached from Kaisers. The hiking trail starts at the Almajurtal junction just above Kienberg, a district of Kaisers. The starting point can be reached in summer with the hiking bus. The first stage of the hike runs on a paved road, past the hamlet of Boden. A short time later you cross the Kaiserbach and the road soon changes to a gravel road. The hike is not too steep through a forest. After some time you reach the alpine meadows of the Almajurtal. After about an hour and a half hike you can see the Bodenalm, which is picturesquely situated on the edge of the forest. The path to the Leutkircher Hütte and the Erlachalpe leads past the Bodenalm.
