The city's oldest salt well can still be visited today in the Sielpark. Hidden in a half-timbered building is the Bülow fountain, which was sunk in 1806 and is 80 m deep. The approx. 9 percent brine from the spring still trickles over the blackthorn walls of the graduation tower and, on hot summer days, provides evaporative cooling and a droplet air with salt components. If you have problems with the upper respiratory tract, asthma or pollen allergies, we recommend a daily half-hour stay at the graduation tower.
