Hohensalzburg Castle is a symbol of the power and influence of Salzburg in the Middle Ages and is therefore one of the city's most important landmarks.

The castle itself is just a great place.
It is one of the largest and best preserved castles in Europe and offers a unique combination of history and modern technology. You can wander through the castle's corridors and rooms and be transported back in time to when the castle played an important role in history.
The flair at Hohensalzburg Castle is really special. The views of the city and surrounding mountains are breathtaking and the air is clear and fresh. You can feel like you are in a real castle that takes you back in time.

About the old town through narrow streets also easy to reach by bike. Afterwards, a trip over the complete Mönchsberg to Mülln is highly recommended!
