After a restorative break at the Black Hut, you can start or continue the following tours from here.
Either up to the Mindelheimer hut, or follow the path in the valley further to the southernmost point of Germany, or the donkey trail up to the Rappenseehütte, or just very relaxed on Asphaltsträßchen back towards Oberstdorf. From Alpe Eschbach or Birgsau then the bus line 7 to Oberstdorf, for 3.90 € that saves a few kilometers dreary asphalt traipse.
