The Ostseebad Nienhagen is located directly on the coast between Warnemünde and Heiligendamm. From the high steep bank, stone stairs lead from the lake promenade to the beach, which was built in 1912 and thoroughly renovated in 1955. The pier, which was also built here in 1912, was destroyed in the ice winters of 1928/29, 1940 and 1946/47 and unfortunately not renewed after the fall of the Wall.
Since 2008 it has also been possible to comfortably get to the beach from the promenade using a spiral construction with a stroller or wheelchair.
