The bridge was built in 2009.
As of April 2022, the path from here to the Kammerhof restaurant on the rocky side of the Nahe was closed. Thus, the Nahesteig is currently being diverted here and follows a section of the dream loop "Around the Kama". Unfortunately, the blocked section is also missing. A reasonably decent circular route (it's a very short dream loop anyway) came about anyway. Please inform about the status of the closure on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig website.
