Yewcrag protrudes from the south eastern corner of Gowbarrow Fell's flanks above beautiful Ullswater. It position gives it stonking views of the lake and the surrounding fells. The rocky fist of Hallin Fell stares back across the water, whilst Place Fell looks grand. Perhaps the best view is towards the huge bulk of St Sunday Crag, rising intimidatingly beyond Birks.

Nice spot to stop and take in the views of Ulswater. This is on the quieter side of the loop as most people go to the waterfall and head back to the car.
