In Bedburg, among other things, Bedburg Castle from the 12th century, which is one of the oldest mansions in the Rhineland, awaits you with an adjacent park. We also recommend a visit to Alt-Kaster, Bedburg's very well-preserved old town from the Middle Ages with picturesque squares, historic gabled houses and winding streets. There is also an attractive range of restaurants waiting for you here.

Was originally a moated castle built in tuff masonry in the 12th century. After it was destroyed in 1278, it was rebuilt as a Gothic brick castle. Due to the renewed destruction in the Truchsessian War (1584), a further reconstruction with simultaneous expansion of the south-east wing took place. In the baroque period, the south-west front was expanded to form the entrance facade and the construction of the palace was completed.

Bedburg Castle is a beautiful moated castle that can only be viewed from the outside, as part is rented out privately and part is used for seminars. It is one of the oldest brick buildings in the Rhineland. A Greek restaurant has recently been installed in the castle cellar.
