Sunnidale Park covers nearly 20 hectares in central Barrie, with wooded ravines, open lawns, and walking trails on the site of a former golf course. It includes the Wyman Jacques Arboretum, a community orchard, a pollinator garden, and an off-leash dog area, along with a playground and year-round washrooms at the Dorian Parker Centre. There is a small creek that runs along the eastern edge, and the park also includes the Dunsmore Ancestral Huron-Wendat Settlement—a fifteenth-century archaeological site that adds an interesting cultural dimension to this beautiful natural setting.
